Scott has been serving his mission in Piura, Peru for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He came home on Tuesday, December 5, 2011. So glad to have him home! We have been counting down the days. Grandpa Coon, Robert, and Brigham Coon flew in on Friday to hear his homecoming talk on Sunday. It's always fun when family comes to visit.
We rushed to the airport because we heard his plane was early. We get there and found out his plane had to circle a couple of times in the air due to President Obama arriving in Kansas City around the same time. We had no idea. So here we are standing around anxious for his arrival.
He made it!
Just some cute things he has done since being home:
*Sarah bought some new tennis shoes and couldn't decide if she should keep them. Scott quoted Moroni 7 to her, all men have the light of Christ and can choose good (something along the lines of that).
*Took Scott shopping at Oak Park Mall. What did he wear? Dress shoes with jeans and a tee-shirt. He stated he can't get away from the dress shoes. Thankfully he now wears tennis shoes with his jeans.
*Went and got Sheridans with him. When dropping him off, he leaned back and shook my hand and then Matt's hand. I guess it's a custom in Peru to shake people's hand when meeting them and departing. We are enjoying having him home!
